The Importance of Planning for Medicare

Hospital Indemnity Plans and More

When it comes to Medicare, planning is key. This is because Medicare provides essential health coverage for those who are 65 and older, as well as for some younger people with disabilities. Without adequate planning, individuals may find themselves unable to afford the costs of their Medicare coverage.

There are a few different ways to go about planning for Medicare. One option is to self-insure for the 20% that original Medicare does not cover. Another option is to purchase a Medicare supplement policy, which can help cover some of the costs not covered by Medicare. Thinking a Medicare Advantage plan will save you $?  You may be mistaken. Consumer costs include hospital visits and trips to and from & various tests while you are considered "in-patient".

No matter what method you choose, it's important to start planning for your Medicare coverage as soon as possible. The sooner you start, the more likely you are to be able to afford the coverage you need.
